ISSUES
Healthcare You Can Reach:
No family in Blythe should have to drive over a hundred miles for emergency care. That’s the reality today... and Steve is working to change it. He’s leading efforts to expand access, strengthen local services, and ensure hospitals and first responders have the tools they need to save lives. As Supervisor, Steve will fight for local, reliable care - ready when seconds matter.
Strengthening Public Safety:
Safety is the cornerstone of every strong community. Steve has worked shoulder-to-shoulder with law enforcement and first responders to reduce crime and improve emergency response times. As Supervisor, he’ll continue investing in the men and women who protect our neighborhoods - so families feel safe at home, at work, and on every street across the district.
Responsible Growth and Infrastructure:
Growth is coming. The question is whether we guide it or get run over by it. Steve will work with cities, builders, and community leaders to align infrastructure with smart development, improve roads and transportation corridors, and protect the character of desert communities like Blythe. Growth should serve residents, strengthen local jobs, and move the Coachella Valley and Blythe region forward responsibly.
Local Businesses and Jobs:
Small businesses are the backbone of our regional economy. Steve has spent years helping employers grow, hire, and thrive. As Supervisor, he’ll keep cutting red tape, supporting workforce development, and creating job opportunities from the pass to Blythe so working families can build their future right here at home.
Veterans and Military Families:
As a combat veteran, Steve knows the challenges many veterans face when returning home, from navigating healthcare and benefits to finding meaningful employment and community support. That’s why he founded and continues to lead efforts like the Coachella Valley Veteran Coalition, uniting organizations to better serve those who’ve served us.
As Supervisor, Steve will:
-
Strengthen coordination between local and federal veteran services
-
Advocate for regional access to VA healthcare and mental health resources
-
Support workforce development and job training for veterans and transitioning service members
-
Ensure accountability in county programs serving veterans and military families
For Steve, this mission is personal. He believes America must always keep her promise to those who defended her.
Animal Services that Work:
Steve has been a leading voice for improving animal care in Riverside County. Compassion and accountability must go hand in hand. He’ll continue pushing for humane, efficient, and transparent practices that reflect how deeply our communities care for animals and for responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars.
Protecting Community Character:
Every city and neighborhood, from La Quinta to Blythe, has its own story. Growth should never erase what makes our desert special. Steve will fight for planning that respects local identity, protects open spaces, and enhances quality of life, keeping our communities strong, proud, and uniquely ours.
Bipartisanship and Putting People First:
In the Marines, there were no Republicans or Democrats in a fighting hole just Americans, shoulder to shoulder. Steve believes service comes before politics and people come before partisanship. As Supervisor, he’ll work with anyone committed to real solutions that lower barriers for working families and seniors and restore trust in government through accountability, integrity, and action.
